Kvoaza

Bread kvass & fermented sodas · Riga, Latvia · since 2022

Three questions, answered first

Wholesale for cafés, bakeries and market stalls within 35 km of Riga · orders to hello@kvoaza.com

Is it alcoholic?

Barely.

Kvass ferments, so there is some. Ours measures 0.5% to 0.9%. Every batch is measured before bottling, and the figure goes on the label.

How long does it keep?

Twenty-one days in the bottle, kept cold.

Kegs keep thirty days sealed and ten once tapped. It is not pasteurised, so warmth is the enemy. Keep it at 2 to 6 °C.

What is the smallest order, and do you deliver?

One keg or two crates.

We deliver on Tuesdays and Fridays within 35 km of Riga, free in the city on orders over €120.

Everything else is further down. It is less urgent.

Closed 22 December - 6 January

A note from Agnese

We close from 22 December to 6 January. The starter goes into the cold room, the kegs come home, and I go to my mother's in Kuldīga and eat other people's bread for two weeks.

If you want kvass for the first week of January, tell me by 18 December.
